Say Goodbye to Oily Aquarium Surface Film
If you have a planted tank or feed heavy protein diets, you know the struggle of biofilm. That oily, stagnant layer on the water surface blocks essential gas exchange and reduces light penetration. By adding the A&Aqua Pro 20mm (3/4-inch) aquarium surface skimmer head, you instantly pull this film into your filtration system, leaving your water surface crystal clear and highly oxygenated.
3-Second “Push-to-Fit” Installation
Video Demonstration: Watch how easily the skimmer head connects and instantly creates a surface-clearing vortex.
You do not need messy PVC glue or complicated tools to upgrade your system. As demonstrated in the clip above, simply push the stem directly into your existing 20mm (3/4″) PVC receiving pipe. The precision-engineered 14.5mm (0.57″) Insert Plug OD creates a perfect, watertight friction fit instantly.
Vortex Action of This 20mm Aquarium Surface Skimmer
Water evaporates daily, but your skimmer will not stop working. Our intelligent self-floating design allows the slotted crown to bob and adjust automatically to minor water level fluctuations. Once installed, the head naturally spins, creating a gentle surface vortex that actively draws in surface proteins without requiring daily height adjustments.
Adjustable Flow Ring for Perfect Balance
Too much surface suction will pull in air and make your pump noisy; too little won’t clear the film effectively. This 3/4 inch fish tank surface skimmer includes a dedicated adjustable flow ring. Simply place the ring onto the skimmer head to fine-tune the suction ratio between your bottom intake and surface skimmer. This prevents frustrating airlocks and keeps small fish or floating plants safe.
Compatibility & Installation Specs
To ensure a seamless installation and avoid return hassles, please check your measurements carefully:
- System Compatibility: Seamlessly fits standard 3/4 inch PVC setups (20mm metric).
- Insert Plug Outer Diameter (OD): Exactly 14.5mm (0.57″).
- Sizing Note: This skimmer head is designed specifically for standard 20mm (3/4″) rigid PVC plumbing.
